particular—may be partly due to the embarrassments some of these self-described prophets have caused their
constituents. Take for instance the sexual abuse perpetrated by not a few "men of the cloth”, the bold yet foolish
predictions of some messianic crackpots on the exact date the world would end, and outrageous pronouncements
every now and then of some self-proclaimed prophets, to cite a few.
