| The humble beginnings In an early month of 1914, Felix Manalo with his wife, Honorata, left their home in Pasay and headed for Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila and look for his friends Apolinario Ramos and wife Engracia who were staying in the workers quarters of the construction firm, Atlantic Gulf & Pacific Company. That night, with the permission of the Ramos couple, he conducted his first religious meeting in their room with only a handful of people listening.His impressive knowledge of the Bible, as well as the solid biblical foundation of the message he preached, amazed the listeners. |
